Dive Rescue 13

2009 Ford F-350 4x4 fitted with a Reading Space Saver Utility Box. The interior of the box has a custom built Extendo-Bed slide out rack.  DR13 serves as a rapid response vehicle in dual-purpose roll. First it carries dive gear, as well as some surface and ice rescue equipment.  Secondly, it acts as a tow vehicle for the boats.

Marine Support Unit 13

2014 Ford F-350 4x4 fitted with a Gooseneck hauler body. MSU-13 acts as a dedicated tow vehicle for Rescue Boat 13.

Utility 13

2014 Ford F-350 4x4 fitted with truck cap and a purpose-built extendable equipment rack. U13 acts in multiple roles as a rapid response vehicle and at times a tow vehicle.

Water Rescue 13

2021 Ram 3500 4x4 fitted with a knapheide utility body. WR 13 serves as a rapid response surface water rescue vehicle. The unit carries a full complement of equipment for swift water, flood, and ice rescue. The unit also pulls duty as a tow units for CCDR vessels.

Dive Support 13

2012 Freightliner cab with ambulance box. Donated to CCDR by the Charles County Department of Emergency Services to replace the original DS 13, a 1984 Chevrolet P-30 Step-van. DS 13 serves as an operations base during extended service. It’s enclosed area provides a place to rehab personal in severe weather operations. It also allows a place for divers to change in and out of their dive suits.

Rescue Boat 13

2014 NIAID 10m Pilot Boat – Aluminum hull boat with a rigid foam collar. Equipped with twin 300hp Mercury Verado Engines. Full cabin with heat and A/C to allow for crew safety during emergency operations. Fitted with a Side-Scan SONAR system RB 13 serves as our principle search boat, as well as a dive platform for underwater operations.

Dive Boat 13

2005 Ribcraft 20.5’ Rigid-hull Inflatable – Fitted with a 150hp Evinrude E-Tech G2. Equipped with a Side-Scan SONAR and acts primarily as a search boat. Can also serve as a transport boat or a dive platform.

2017 Zodiac 2400LE 24’ Rigid-hull Inflatable equipped with twin 150hp Mercury Sea Pro Engines. Acts as a transport vessel for gear and personnel.

Inflatable 13

2013 16’ Achilles Inflatable equipped with a 30hp Evinrude Engine. Used for inland waters and areas unreachable by the larger boats.
