Whether you have extensive first responder experience or a rookie fresh to public safety, we offer numerous basic to advanced Rescue, Emergency Medical Services & Leadership courses through state and federal programs. These courses are free of charge to active members of the company and offer opportunity for progression through our operational roles and ranks. Training is completely free (including textbooks): All Rescue, and Emergency Medical training is paid for by the company and most courses offered through Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute (MFRI) will give transferable college credits. Many members have utilized the free training and networking opportunities to obtain successful careers. 

MFRI classes are conveniently in the Southern Maryland region, with schedules to meet just about anyone’s needs — including nights and weekends.  

The company also offers a myriad of in-house specialized unit level training events taught by our officers & subject matter experts. This training is augmented by contracted instructors from across the nation.
